PLASTIC, METAL, PAPER AND GLASS
There are three containers for sorting out the package waste. The waste from the differently painted containers is collected according to a different schedule assuring in that way that the waste is not mixed together.
Blue: for paper and cardboard waste
Yellow: for plastic and metal waste
Green: for glass waste
For all three containers apply the following rules. Before sorting your waste, empty the package from its content, wash it, and fold it as much as possible to reduce its volume.
DO NOT RECYCLE:
Contaminated packages and ones that have contained hazardous chemical substances; batteries and accumulators; tubes from car oil; toys, light bulbs, electrical devices, window or mirror glass, dishware, hygienic materials, wallpapers; flower pots; oversize waste, construction waste
If you have to get rid of a large item (e.g. wardrobe, bed; constructional waste) you can call a transportation agency which will dismantle the item and take it to a field for such kind of waste (e.g. www.junk.bg; tovarniprevozi.bg). Or you can find the address of the field in your area by typing in Google “oversize waste” and the name of your area, and take the item to the field with your own transport.
BATTERIES AND ACCUMULATORS
A table with the addresses where battery and accumulators collection containers have been installedwithin the territory of Bulgariacan be found at www.ecobatterybg.com
To get rid of your broken or obsolete electronics you can give it in at every store selling such items. Another possibility is to find an agency that would collect for free the electronics from your home (e.g. www.eltechresource.com). A third option would be to donate the item at www.podariavam.com.
